New transformer terminal clamp
The 2DIREKT product family has grown: PFISTERER now also offers the versatile transformer terminal clamp in a six-conductor design which accommodates cable cross-sections of up to 400 mm². This large conductor cross-section is often chosen for long connecting cables to minimise voltage drop in the cable.
Although, for structural reaons, the new design had to dispense with the vertical outgoing cable, which is rarely used for large cable cross-sections, the main benefit of 2DIREKT is fully utilised here: the conductors can be connected directly, the tedious process of installing cable lugs is no longer required, and it is also no longer necessary to install cable end bushes on fine-stranded conductors. This reduces both installation expense and the risk of faulty connections. The lower number of points of contact also minimises contact resistances.
The 2DIREKT accessories also offer additional benefits: there is, of course, also a cover for the six-conductor version for indoor applications. The indoor version of the cover incorporates an opening which makes it possible to carry out voltage checks without removing the cover.
